PLUS: 60 prebuilt Claude skills that anyone can install in a few minutes

Good Morning! Anthropic quietly shipped Claude Cowork plug-ins, and software stocks just had one of their worst 48 hours in years. Plus, you’ll learn how to turn Claude into a full AI assistant with downloadable skills.

Plus, in today’s AI newsletter:

  • 60 prebuilt Claude skills to install in a few minutes

  • Anthropic Triggers the “SaaSpocalypse”

  • 4 new AI tools worth trying

AI NEWS

Bloomberg reports that Anthropic’s quiet release of Claude Cowork plugins sparked panic across software, finance, and IT services, wiping out $285B in market value. These aren’t integrations. They’re full workflow replacements.

  • Markets reacted fast: software and financial stocks saw their worst drop since April

  • Firms like RELX, Infosys, TCS, and Wolters Kluwer fell sharply as AI threatened core products

  • Claude Cowork plugins replace entire workflows like legal research, financial modeling, and sales ops

  • Anthropic moved up the stack, from APIs to owning the application layer

This is the first time a foundation model company didn’t just power software, it became the software. If your business sells “we automate X,” you’re no longer competing with startups. You’re competing with Claude at 1% of the cost.
There’s no middle ground now: build with AI, or get replaced by it.

AI INTEGRATIONS

đŸ§‘â€đŸ’» GitHub Adds Claude & Codex AI Agents

GitHub is now integrating Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s Codex directly into GitHub, GitHub Mobile, and VS Code. The update is part of Agent HQ, GitHub’s push to make AI agents native to how developers plan, build, and ship code.

  • Developers can choose between Copilot, Claude, Codex, or custom agents per task

  • Agents can be assigned to issues and pull requests, each using a premium request

  • Side-by-side outputs let teams compare how different agents solve the same problem

  • Available in public preview for Copilot Pro Plus and Enterprise users

GitHub is betting that the future of coding isn’t one AI, but many. By removing context switching and letting developers mix agents inside the same workflow, GitHub is turning AI models into interchangeable teammates, not separate tools.

AI MODELS

Kling released its 3.0 video model, calling it an all-in-one creative engine for multimodal creation. The update focuses on better consistency, longer clips, and more cinematic control across video, audio, and images.

  • Generates up to 15-second videos with improved character and scene consistency

  • Supports multi-shot recording with finer creative control

  • Adds multi-character audio references, more languages, and accents

  • Image generation now includes 4K output, continuous shooting, and cinematic visuals

AI video tools often look flashy but fall apart in real projects. Kling 3.0’s focus on consistency and control suggests a shift from demos to assets creators can actually use. If this rolls out broadly, it raises the bar for OpenAI, Runway, and Pika fast.

HOW TO AI

đŸ’» Access 60 Prebuilt Claude Skills That Anyone Can Install in Minutes.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to transform Claude from a simple chat-based AI into a powerful, task-executing assistant that can create PowerPoint presentations, build Excel spreadsheets, analyze competitor ads, and run complete workflows automatically. You’ll do this using a free, open-source library of more than 60 prebuilt Claude skills that anyone can install in under 15 minutes.

🧰 Who is This For

  • Founders who need pitch decks, reports, or research done quickly

  • Marketers who want automated competitor ad analysis and insights

  • Sales teams generating follow-ups, proposals, and spreadsheets

  • Operators and freelancers automating repetitive weekly tasks

  • Anyone who wants Claude to function like a real personal assistant

STEP 1: Access the GitHub Repo

First, you need to download the skill library that contains the instructions Claude will follow.

Open your browser and go to this GitHub repository: Awesome-Claude-Skills

Once the page loads, click the green Code button near the top right of the page.
From the dropdown, select Download ZIP.

After the ZIP file finishes downloading, locate it on your computer and unzip it.
When you open the unzipped folder, you will see many individual folders. Each folder represents one specific skill, such as:

  • ppt-creator (for PowerPoint decks)

  • excel-model-builder (for spreadsheets and models)

  • competitive-ads-extractor (for ad analysis)

Choose one skill you want to install first.

Open that folder, then right-click only that single folder and select Compress / Zip.

This step is critical. Claude can only read one skill at a time, not the entire library.

STEP 2: Upload the Skill Into Claude Desktop

Now you will load that skill into Claude so it understands how to use it.

Head over to Claude. Click your Profile icon in the bottom-left corner of the app.

From the menu, open Settings, then go to Capabilities

Inside this section, click Upload Skill.

Select the ZIP file you created in Step 1 (for example, ppt-creator.zip).
Claude will read the instructions inside the skill and prepare it for use.

STEP 3: Enable and Activate the Skill

Uploading the skill does not automatically turn it on.

After uploading, you’ll see the skill appear in a list under Skills.
Toggle the switch next to the skill so it is turned ON.

To make sure everything loads correctly, fully quit the Claude app and reopen it.
This refresh ensures Claude recognizes the new capabilities.

At this point, Claude is officially equipped with that skill.

STEP 4: Use Simple, Natural Prompts to Run Full Workflows

Now that the skill is active, you don’t need to explain how to do things.
Claude already knows the process, you only need to tell it what to do.

If you installed the PowerPoint skill, try this:

“Create a 5-slide pitch deck for a startup that sells coffee for dogs. Use a fun but professional tone and save it to my desktop.”

Claude will automatically:

  • Design the slide structure

  • Write the content

  • Generate the file

  • Save it locally

If you installed the competitor ads skill, try this:

“Analyze the last 5 ads from [Competitor Name] and break down their hooks, messaging, and calls-to-action.”

Claude will gather the data, analyze it, and return a structured report.

Sam Altman says Anthropic's Super Bowl ads are funny but “dishonest”, and Anthropic serves a “product to rich people” while OpenAI is “committed to free access”.

Anthropic says “Claude will remain ad-free”, its users “won't see ‘sponsored’ links adjacent to” conversations, and responses won't be influenced by advertisers.

Microsoft says cybersecurity head Charlie Bell will move into a position focused on engineering quality; Hayete Gallot will return from Google to run security.

Amazon MGM Studio plans to develop new AI tools via its “AI Studio” to speed TV and film production and cut costs, in collaboration with AWS and LLM providers.
