AI TOOLS
βοΈ Gemini Turns Gmail Into Your Travel Planner
Google showed how Gemini 3.5 Flash reads your flight confirmation from Gmail, builds a personalized jet lag recovery schedule based on your time zone, and drops it straight into your Google Calendar with reminders.
Gemini pulls your flight confirmation email directly from Gmail, extracting departure time, arrival time, time zones, and connection details without you copying or pasting anything.Β
From that itinerary, it builds a custom jet lag recovery plan, including when to sleep on the plane, when to stay awake, when to get sunlight after landing, and when to eat.Β
The full plan goes into your Google Calendar as timed reminders, so your phone tells you what to do at the right moments without you having to remember any of it.Β Β
The whole workflow runs on Gemini 3.5 Flash, meaning the entire process from email to calendar takes seconds.

Generic jet lag advice doesn't account for your actual route, your direction of travel, or your specific departure time. Gemini reads your real itinerary and builds a plan around it. That's a genuinely useful daily use case available right now with Gemini connected to Gmail.
AI AUTOMATION
π The Grok Plugin for Word Is Live
xAI launched a Grok plugin for Microsoft Word that lets users draft documents, summarize research from the web and X, and generate diagrams without leaving the document.
The plugin adds a Grok sidebar directly inside Word where you can prompt it to draft sections, restructure paragraphs, or turn rough notes into polished writing without switching apps.Β
Grok can pull live research from the web and X data into your document, so you don't have to open a browser tab to find supporting information while writing.Β
It can generate diagrams inside the document from a text description, including flow charts, org charts, and visual explanations built from whatever you're working on.Β
It reads your whole document for context, so rewrites and edits match the tone and structure already on the page instead of starting cold

Word has been the default writing tool for decades and most AI tools still require you to write somewhere else and paste the result in. Grok embedding directly inside the editor removes that step. The X data access is the differentiator. No other Word plugin can pull real-time social and news context directly into a draft.
AI AGENTS
π€ Hermes Agent v0.17.0 Ships iMessage and Background Agents
Nous Research released Hermes Agent v0.17.0 "The Reach Release," adding iMessage integration via Photon, non-blocking background subagents, Raft agent network support, and a major desktop upgrade.
Hermes can now send and receive iMessages through a plugin called Photon, with no Mac relay server or BlueBubbles setup required, just a simple device-code login.Β
Background subagents now run without blocking the main conversation. Spin up a delegate task, keep chatting, and the result drops back in when the subagent finishes.Β
Hermes can now join the Raft agent network, a privacy-first messaging system that lets agents communicate without exposing full message content.Β
The desktop app gained rebindable shortcuts, native notifications, live subagent watch windows, VS Code themes, and a resizable terminal across macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Hermes is the most actively developed open-source AI agent right now, shipping real features faster than most tools out there. iMessage support makes it genuinely useful for anyone in the Apple ecosystem. Background subagents mean your agent keeps working while you keep chatting. Worth downloading and testing today.

PREMIUM GUIDE
ChatGPT Images 2.0: 10 Things It Can Now Do That Nothing Else Could.
The prompts. The results. What this actually changes for your workflow.
The previous model had a persistent warm yellow tint that crept into almost every output. You'd notice it in skin tones, in product surfaces, in backgrounds that should have been neutral. It became the model's fingerprint.
That's fixed.
Color accuracy is neutral now. And the model's understanding of lighting direction, depth of field, and surface materials has improved enough that product shots are genuinely difficult to distinguish from real photography.
Here are the 10 use cases worth knowing.
1. Product photography.
Commercial product photography of a premium leather notebook
called "Cintas Notes Pro." Place it on a dark oak desk surface.
Lighting: single soft light source from the upper left, casting a subtle long shadow to the right. Show the cover embossed with the text "Cintas Notes Pro" in small serif letters.
Include an uncapped fountain pen remaining diagonally across the bottom
right corner.
Camera angle: slightly elevated, 30-degree tilt.
Style: clean, editorial product photography, muted warm tones,
magazine quality. No lifestyle elements. Product only.

The shadow falls exactly where specified. The embossed text on the cover renders correctly. The pen placement follows the instruction.
These are compositional details that GPT Image 1.5 would approximate. Images 2.0 follows.
2. Newsletter infographics.
I make these every week for Simplifying AI. Usually that's Nano Banana 2 plus a fair amount of manual adjustment. The challenge with AI-generated infographics was always the same: dense stat blocks would break, labels would overlap, numbers would shift or round incorrectly.
The thinking mode solves this. The model double-checks its own output before delivering.
Create a vertical infographic titled "ChatGPT Images 2.0:
By the Numbers." Include 5 stat blocks arranged vertically, each with a large bold number and a short label below:
- 99%: Text rendering accuracy
- 2K: Maximum output resolution
- 8: Consistent images from one prompt
- 2x: Faster than GPT Image 1.5
- Dec 2025: Model knowledge cutoff
Style: dark navy background, white text, cyan accent color, modern sans-serif. Clean geometric layout. Each stat block separated by a thin cyan divider line. Shareable 16:9 sizing.

Every number is accurate. The dividers align. The layout holds. That's a shareable asset I can post this afternoon, built in one prompt.
