In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to install N8N locally on your PC using Docker. The entire setup takes just a few minutes, and once you're done, you’ll have a fully working N8N automation environment running directly on your machine.

STEP 1: Install Docker Desktop

Go to the official Docker website and download Docker Desktop for your operating system. Docker acts like a clean, isolated box that gives N8N everything it needs to run without touching or breaking anything on your system. The installation only takes a few seconds. After it completes, close the window and restart your PC if Docker asks for it. Once you're back, open Docker Desktop, accept the agreement, select the recommended settings, and skip sign-in. When you see the main dashboard, Docker is ready.

STEP 2: Download the n8n Image

With Docker running, search for “n8n” in the search bar or open the Images tab. Select the official n8nio/n8n image, which is marked as a verified publisher, and click Pull. Docker will begin downloading the image, and once complete, it will appear in your local Images list.

STEP 3: Configure and Run the Container

Open the Images tab and find the n8nio/n8n entry you pulled. Click Run and expand the optional settings. Name the container something like my-n8n. Set the port mapping so that both the host port and container port are 5678. This port is what allows you to access the n8n dashboard from your browser. Start the container, and Docker will launch your personal n8n server.

STEP 4: Create Your Admin Account

Open your browser and go to http://localhost:5678. You’ll see the n8n onboarding screen. Create your owner account with an email and password. Since everything is running locally, your data stays on your machine.

After signing in, you’ll land on the full n8n canvas with unlimited workflow executions and complete control over your automations.

📱 OpenAI’s First Hardware Device Takes Shape

OpenAI and former Apple design chief Jony Ive have completed early hardware prototypes for a new ambient AI device meant to sit between you and the chaos of smartphones. Altman says the goal is a “peaceful” computing experience, one agent, long-term memory, continuous awareness.

• Ive is designing a wearable/portable “calm” assistant built around OpenAI’s frontier models

• Device is meant to manage long tasks, filter notifications, and maintain persistent context

• Altman hints it may integrate deeply into messages, documents, voice logs, and continuous speech

• Paired with Foxconn, OpenAI now influences both the edge device and US-based AI infrastructure

OpenAI is trying to define the next default personal computer, not an app, not a phone, but an LLM-native object. If it lands, it puts direct pressure on Apple, whose iPhone and Siri still rely on older assistant paradigms while OpenAI races toward an always-on, model-first ecosystem.

🎵 Warner Music Group Teams Up With Suno

Warner Music Group has signed a major licensing deal with Suno, allowing users to generate music using the voices, names, likenesses, and compositions of WMG artists who choose to opt in. The agreement marks a sharp turn from past legal battles, WMG has officially withdrawn its lawsuit against Suno.

• Participating WMG artists will have “full control” over how their voice and likeness are used

• Users will be able to create songs built around an artist’s style while ensuring the artist gets compensated

• Deal follows a wave of industry shifts: WMG settled with Udio, and UMG dropped its own litigation in favor of licensing

• Suno will use WMG’s catalog to train its next-gen music models, which it claims will surpass its current v5

The music industry is finally embracing AI instead of fighting it. By licensing real artist voices for controlled AI use, WMG is betting on a future where fans co-create with their favorite artists, legally, ethically, and profitably. This could redefine how music is made, distributed, and monetized.
