AI MODELS
GLM-4.7 is Zhipu AI’s latest flagship model, showing major gains in coding, math, and complex reasoning, and outperforming top models in multiple benchmarks.
Ranked #1 among open-source models on LMArena Code Arena, beating GPT-5.2
Outperformed Claude 4.5 Sonnet and GPT-5.1 in LiveCodeBench, AIME 2025, and Human Last Exam
Supports 200K context, “Deep Thinking” mode, and agentic coding workflows
Launching with a $3/month plan for direct integration into coding agents

GLM-4.7 shows that open models are rapidly closing the gap with Western SOTA systems, especially in coding agents. With strong benchmarks and low-cost integration, it could become a serious default for developer-focused AI stacks.

AI NEWS
OpenAI is rolling out new personalization settings that let users fine-tune ChatGPT’s tone and writing style directly in the app.
Adjust warmth and enthusiasm (more or less)
Control emoji usage, headers, and list formatting
Choose personality styles like professional, friendly, quirky, or cynical
Edit and format emails directly inside chat by highlighting text

This makes ChatGPT feel less “one-size-fits-all” and more like a customizable writing partner, especially useful for emails, work tasks, and content where tone really matters.
ROBOTICS
China signed a ¥264M ($37M) deal with UBTech to deploy Walker S2 humanoid robots at the Fangchenggang border with Vietnam, where they’ll support inspections, logistics, and personnel flow in harsh conditions.
Walker S2 robots operate 24/7 and can hot-swap their own batteries in under 3 minutes
Each robot is human-sized (176 cm, 70 kg) and walks at ~2 m/s
Used for inspections, logistics, and managing border traffic
Part of a broader push toward robotic patrols and autonomous border operations

This signals a shift from human-led border control to AI-powered, always-on systems. If successful, humanoid robots could redefine how governments handle security, logistics, and surveillance in extreme environments.

HOW TO AI
🗂️ How to Learn and Master AI Using Google’s Official Skills Hub
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to access and use the newly revamped Google Skills platform to build real AI skills step by step.
🧰 Who is This For
Beginners who want to learn AI step by step without confusion
Creators and professionals looking to use AI in real work
Developers who want hands-on experience with Google AI tools
Anyone who wants official Google AI certificates to showcase skills
STEP 1: Access and Sign In to Google Skills
Open your browser and go to skills.google. When the homepage loads, click the Join or Sign in button in the top-right corner. Sign in using your primary Google account so that all your progress, labs, and certificates remain permanently tied to your profile. Scroll toward the bottom of the page and look for the Innovators Program section. Joining this program usually unlocks around 35 free credits every month, which you can use to complete paid hands-on labs at no cost.

STEP 2: Find the Right AI Learning Path
After signing in, you’ll land on the main dashboard. On the left-hand side, open the Catalog by clicking the book-shaped icon. This is where all courses, labs, and learning paths live. Use the search bar or topic filters to look for terms like Generative AI, Prompt Design, or Gemini.
For a guided experience, switch to the Paths view in the sidebar. These paths are structured journeys that start with fundamentals and gradually move into real-world implementation, such as integrating generative AI into workflows or building with the Gemini API.

STEP 3: Learn Faster with AI Boost Lessons
If you want quick wins or have limited time, look for lessons tagged as AI Boost Bites. These are short, focused modules designed to teach one practical skill at a time. From the dashboard or catalog filters, adjust the pace setting to 30 minutes or less.
You’ll see short labs covering topics like introductory Gemini usage or applied AI scenarios. Click Start Lab on any lesson, and you’ll be guided through a hands-on exercise that typically takes 10 to 15 minutes, making it easy to build momentum without long study sessions.

STEP 4: Earn and Share Your Google Credentials
As you complete lessons and labs, your progress is automatically tracked. Open the Achievements or Activities section from the sidebar to see what you’ve finished. Courses that award official recognition are marked with a yellow star icon and unlock Skill Badges once completed.
These badges appear directly in your profile. For longer programs or career-focused tracks, you can download your certificate as a PDF or use the Share option to add it directly to your LinkedIn profile, making it easy to showcase your verified AI skills to recruiters and employers.
