HOW TO AI

How to transform Minecraft worlds in real-time with AI

Decart AI just dropped their new model called Oasis 2.0, a real-time AI model that transforms game worlds and styles live at 1080p, 30fps. You can play it directly in Minecraft through a mod or try the web demo. Imagine switching your world from the Swiss Alps to Burning Man with a single command.

🧰 Who is this for

  • Gamers who want to reimagine Minecraft in entirely new environments

  • Creators designing custom maps, mods, and immersive experiences

  • Streamers looking for fresh, dynamic gameplay to showcase

  • Developers experimenting with AI-powered real-time world generation

STEP 1: Play the Demo

For those who just want to play the demo right away in your browser, head over to https://oasis2.decart.ai/demo and just select “Play Desktop Demo”

STEP 2: Install the Mod

To install the Minecraft Mod, download the Modrinth Launcher from modrinth.com/app and log in with your Minecraft/Microsoft account. Once inside, search for Oasis 2.0 or open its Modrinth page directly.

Click “Install with Modrinth App” and confirm the installation. Then, create a new instance by pressing “Create New Instance”, naming it something like Oasis 2.0, and hitting Create.

Finally, select your new instance from the sidebar and click Play. Minecraft will now launch with Oasis 2.0 installed.

STEP 2: Start Oasis 2.0 in Minecraft

Once you’re in-game, type the command:

/oasis start

Within seconds, your Minecraft world will begin transforming in real time.

You can switch between default prompts using the [ and ] keys, or create your own by typing:

/oasis prompt <your idea>

This instantly shifts your world into your idea.

STEP 3: Use Command Blocks

Oasis 2.0 also integrates with command blocks, letting you build AI-powered maps and mini-games. The format is:

/say <player-name> <oasis-command>

Some examples:

/say Steve Oasis$prompt greek village
/say Steve Oasis$show
/say Steve Oasis$hide
/say Steve Oasis$toggle

This allows you to dynamically change environments, show or hide the AI view, and build interactive scenarios.

TODAY IN AI

OpenAI announced it is developing an AI-centered jobs platform that will connect candidates with companies, putting it in direct competition with Microsoft’s LinkedIn. The service is expected to launch by mid-2026.

→ Jobs platform will also serve local businesses and governments, not just large corporations

→ Paired with a new OpenAI Academy certification program to train and upskill workers

→ Goal: certify 10M Americans by 2030, with companies like Walmart already on board

Why is important: This marks a major expansion of OpenAI beyond chatbots and into career development and workforce training. If successful, it could directly challenge LinkedIn’s dominance, reshape how workers learn, certify, and get hired, and redefine AI’s role in the future of jobs.

Mistral, the Paris-based AI company, has announced a $2.3 billion investment round, solidifying its place as one of Europe’s top AI contenders. The funding follows an $11B deal with the French government to build a 1GW AI supercomputer, rivaling U.S. projects like xAI’s Memphis data center.

→ Founded in 2017, Mistral started as a GPU-sharing marketplace before pivoting into AI infrastructure

→ Revenues doubled from $30M in 2023 to $66.2M in 2024

→ Backed by international investors, with funding earmarked for data centers, AI R&D, and applied AI in healthcare & education

Why is important: This funding cements Mistral as Europe’s flagship AI player at a time when global competition for AI infrastructure is heating up. With Macron’s government pushing $113B in AI investments, Mistral could become the continental counterweight to OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI, shaping Europe’s AI sovereignty and innovation strategy.

ESSENTIAL BITES

  • Chinese AI startup DeepSeek plans to launch an agent-focused model by late 2025, designed for autonomous multi-step tasks to rival U.S. leaders like OpenAI.

  • Atlassian is acquiring The Browser Company, maker of Arc and Dia, in a $610M cash deal, with the startup continuing to operate independently under its new owner.

  • Alphabet added $234B in market value after a favorable U.S. antitrust ruling allowed it to keep Chrome and Android, while Apple gained $130B as both tech giants avoided the harshest breakup remedies.
