Good morning, AI enthusiast. Apple is making a billion-dollar move to supercharge Siri, and it’s teaming up with Google to do it.

AI PARTNERSHIPS
Apple will reportedly pay Google around $1 billion per year to use a custom version of the Gemini model for its upcoming Apple Intelligence system, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Gemini (1.2T parameters) will run on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute servers
In-house models (150B parameters) will still handle certain Siri tasks locally
The deal focuses on summaries, planning, and reasoning capabilities
Apple initially explored OpenAI and Anthropic, but chose Google instead
Siri’s upgraded version is set to launch next spring

This marks a rare Apple–Google partnership, and a major shift in how Apple approaches AI. While Apple builds its own foundation models, Gemini gives Siri the raw power it needs to compete with ChatGPT-level assistants, at least for now.
AI POLICY
Senators Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) have introduced the AI-Related Job Impacts Clarity Act, requiring major companies and federal agencies to report quarterly on how AI affects their workforce.
Reports must include layoffs, new hires, retraining, or reduced hiring linked to AI integration
Data submitted to the Department of Labor will be compiled into a public report
The goal: provide a “clear picture” of AI’s real impact on American jobs
Comes amid major layoffs at Amazon, UPS, and Target totaling over 60,000 roles

As AI reshapes industries, lawmakers are pushing for accountability. This bill could expose how deeply automation is cutting into the workforce, and force companies to balance AI efficiency with real human impact.
AI NEWS
Gemini’s new Deep Research mode lets the AI pull data directly from your Gmail, Drive, and Google Chat to generate detailed reports and insights. It’s like giving your AI assistant access to your entire digital brain.
Deep Research plans and executes multi-step research tasks before compiling a report
Can analyze brainstorming docs, email threads, spreadsheets, and chat logs together
Outputs research as editable Google Docs or even AI-generated podcasts
Currently desktop-only, with mobile rollout coming soon
Users can toggle access between Search, Gmail, Drive, and Chat

Google just turned Gemini into a true research agent, but at the cost of giving it access to your private workspace data. It’s a massive leap for productivity… and a huge question mark for privacy.

HOW TO AI
đź’» How to turn any Google Maps screenshot into a 3D model in seconds
In this tutorial, you will learn how to transform any Google Maps screenshot into a detailed 3D model using Gemini and Meshy AI, generating architecturally accurate renders within seconds, perfect for designers, researchers, and 3D enthusiasts.
🧰 Who is This For
Architects and urban designers visualizing real-world structures
3D artists and game developers creating quick scene prototypes
Students or researchers studying cityscapes or landmarks
Anyone curious about converting real images into dynamic 3D models
STEP 1: Capture Your Location Screenshot
Open Google Maps and navigate to the location you want to recreate, this could be a landmark, building, or even your home.
Adjust the zoom level until you get a clear top-down or angled view. Then take a screenshot of the scene ensuring it’s well-lit and centered.

STEP 2: Upload the Screenshot to Gemini
Open Gemini in your browser. In the chat input box, click the Upload Image icon and select your Google Maps screenshot.
Once uploaded, type the following prompt:
“Create a 3D model of this building, with high architectural fidelity, preserve the textures, show from 45 degrees of the top, with completely white background.”
Hit Enter, and Gemini will begin generating your 3D model. Within seconds, you’ll see a complete structure rendered from multiple angles including front, side, and top views.

STEP 3: Refine the 3D Model Using Meshy AI
To elevate the output into a professional-grade 3D render,
Go to Meshy.ai and sign up for free. Once inside the Workspace, click Image to 3D Model on the left sidebar. In the New Model panel, upload 3D preview Gemini created where it says “Click / Drag & Drop / Paste Image.”
Make sure the AI Model is set to Meshy 6 Preview. You can name your project and leave the license as Private. Then hit Generate at the bottom.
In about a minute, Meshy will create a detailed 3D render of your image, fully textured, rotatable, and ready to export.

STEP 4: Export and Customize Your 3D Model
Once Meshy finishes generating, your model will appear in the preview window. Click on it to open the editor. On the top bar, you’ll find options to rotate, zoom, and inspect textures from every angle.
To export, select the download icon on the top-right corner and choose your preferred format, OBJ, GLB, or FBX. These formats work perfectly with design tools like Blender or Unreal Engine.
