STEP 1: Access the New "Gems Made by Labs"
To get started, you must use the desktop web version of Gemini. Navigate to the sidebar and find the Gems section. You will notice two types of Gems: the classic version and the new experimental version labeled "Gems made by Labs."
Click the Gem icon with the glass beaker (Labs) icon to enter the Google Opal 2.0 interface. Note that you may need to sign in with your Google account to access this advanced editor.
STEP 2: Define Your Agent with Natural Language

Advanced Settings: Click on the Agent node to reveal settings on the right side of the screen. Here, you can enable the Memory feature, which allows the agent to recall previous inputs for more consistent long-term interactions.
STEP 4: Test, Iterate, and Share
Use the Preview window to test your new AI agent in real-time. For an interactive story, provide an initial premise and watch how the agent loops back for more user input to continue the narrative indefinitely.
Manual Edits: If the auto-generated workflow isn't perfect, use the Advanced Editor to drag, drop, and connect nodes manually, a process much simpler than tools like ComfyUI or N8N.
Deployment: Once satisfied, you can share your Gem with friends or co-workers, allowing them to use the same personalized agentic workflow you created.
